Andrea, 20 - New art blog to separate my own art from other stuff (i´m still trying to figure out how to make this work. older art can be seen on my main blog)

Thank you so much! I spent a ridiculous amount of time making it, and well, in that process I kind of lost my love to it. And I got listed on a neo-nazist site as an enemy because of it (with my full name and information about the school I study at) - don´t know if I should take that as a “compliment”, but it dind´t help me to like the film more. So I’m grateful for a bit of recognition, thank you for this message :)

It´s all done in Photoshop, with a simple round brush. Here´s a close up where you can see the messy strokes, maybe thats why it looks a bit like oils. I never felt confident enought to try oils unfortunatelly :(
Anonymous said: hey your art is really awesome and i was wondering what brushes you use on photoshop? so yeah *-*
I used to try various texture brushes in the past, but currently I only use the simple round brush in photoshop, with maximum hardness, opacity and flow, but with enabled pen pressure on size (minimum diameter around 70), and opacity and flow jitter as well.
These may feel quite unnatural while painting, but are good enough for my art technique - which is basically making a mess on the canvas and trying to make something out off it. An essential tool for me is the eyedropper and I may do a tutorial after finals, although I do not recommend to go down this path of madness.
